LEADLESS PACEMAKER - THE FUTURE

Leadless pacemakers represent an important advancement in bradyarrhythmia management, especially in patients with post pacemaker infection or limited venous access. We performed two leadless pacemakers last month, using Medtronic MICRA AV2 leadless pacemaker and Abbott AVEIR VR leadless pacemaker. Their intracardiac design eliminates the need for leads or subcutaneous pockets.

Clinical Benefits of leadless pacemakers involve no surgical pocket; elimination of transvenous leads which lowers the risk of lead-related complications; reduced infection risk; preservation of vascular access (crucial for patients on long-term hemodialysis) & minimally invasive approach leading to shorter procedure time, faster recovery, and less procedural trauma.

These cases are testament to MMM Hospital’s commitment in delivering advanced, patient-centered cardiac care. By combining clinical expertise with innovative device technology, we offer safer, more effective treatments - even for most complex and high-risk patients - while keeping future treatment options open.
